How can I improve the speed and acceleration of my 2000 honda civic?

I own a stock 2000 honda civic and want to improve its speed and acceleration, what are the first things i should do?|||it depends on your wallet really.


the best way to increase horsepower is to install a nitrous kit (aka NOS by some ppl)


another way is to install a supercharger or turbo charger into the car.


any of these methods should increase the total horse power of you car from 30-50%





another way is to do an engine swap. depending on what engine you currently have an engine swap might be a good way to increase your cars speed/power.|||if you cant afford that stuff you should probably go for headers, cold air intake, exhaust sytem. cheapest way to make gains
