we recently got a used 2002 Honda Civic, but it did not come with any keyless entry remotes. we are planning on buying one or two remotes off of ebay, but we are unsure of how to program them and also where the FCC ID is located on the car. we checked on the frame of the driver-side door where there is a manufacturers label and a car information label, but could not find it. does anybody know how to program a 2002 Honda Civic keyless entry remote? or where to find the FCC ID on the car?|||knowshon is right. If the vehicle had the key less entry system at one time it will work, but if the system was never there or if someone removed it , it will not work. If the contorl unit is there u just have to follow that procedure and it will work. Good luck!|||ignition switch has four positions--off--acc--on--start. Have every remote with you that you want programmed(you must do all at the same time). Turn ignition switch to "on" press the lock button on only one remote and turn ignition switch to "off"/// Turn switch back to "on" press lock button on same remote and turn ignition switch "off"'/// Turn ignition switch back to "on" press lock button on same remote and then you should hear your power door locks cycle when you pressed your lock button--you are now in program mode and need to take every remote you have (i think up to three) and press the lock button on each one within ten seconds and then wait for 20 seconds. the remotes should be programmed. Take key out of ignition close doors and test. Keep in mind some of these keyless remotes look similar so dont buy one based off appearance. If the seller tells you they will work be sure they will back that up! GOOD LUCK!|||The source has the two types of remotes used on the 2002 Civic, depending on whether it is an Si model or not. One is $49 and the other is $59, plus about $10 shipping. Either comes with the programming instructions. (The FCC ID for each is also listed in the source.) If you have doubts you can call for help. I have bought remotes from the company a few times and always been satisfied. In every case the remote has been exactly as pictured.|||1. Honda keyless remotes are only (LEGALLY) available from a Honda Dealer.
2. FCC I.D is ONLY on the remote transponder! Never on the car (DUH!!!!!!!!)
3. Usually always done by a HONDA Dealer.
