Is Honda brand engine coolant the best for a Honda vehicle or are there other equivalent engine coolants?

I've read that if you don't use Honda coolant, this can and will cause serious engine damage. Is that true?|||Dex cool is good for all.|||Not true. At 90,000 miles, I had the coolant replaced at firestone and at 139,000 and counting, I've no engine problems whatsoever. I drive a '99 Honda Accord

Dexcool is known to eat seals and cause internal problems, not sure why the other person vouched for dexcool. Just look it up for yourself.
