I love both the Honda Prelude and Civic hb and plan on getting one of the two soon. I want to have a car that has a lot of options as far as upgrading the performance of the car. Which car would be better for that? I preferably want to stay with Honda, but are there any other cars that are specifically good for what I want that may not be Honda?|||i would say honda civic. the prelude is more powerfull but kinda heavy. consider also the acura integra..lol, i mean RSX. honda has a huge following, so aftermarket will always be available....search websites to see how much modifications will cost for each car. that might help you decide which is more bang for the buck. also, keep in mind that the accord had a larger engine, but the v6 only came with an automatic.|||preludes are kinda cool but the ones before 1992 have 1 star (of 5) driver safety ratings, much worse than the civics of the time (3 star driver, 4 star passenger). in other words, the OLD preludes are UNSAFE

|||Hands down the Prelude the H22 Vtech is one of the best 4cyl in the world, you can get 600 hp from that motor with the proper modifications and still use it as a daily driver!|||Honda Prelude is a classier model than the Civic. The Civic is the economy Honda model.|||Since you're talking about Hondas then I figure you're on a budget also.
Thus I would go with the Civic since it is cheaper.
You can find tons of aftermarket products for the Civic and you can just swap in the RSX Type S engine (K20A) into it.|||most people would say prelude for performance, even i.. however since the prelude is no longer made and hasnt been since 2001, performance parts might be a bit harder to get.|||If you buy a Civic - you will always regret that you did not buy the Prelude. Go with your Gut Instinct!!!
