What is a good honda motorcycle for a petite women?

im 5"2 weight right around 105lbs and im really interested in getting my first bike, need something a bit more thrilling than my honda metropolitan. im really interested in cafe cruisers from the 70's. advice from other women my size or anyone is much appreciated, thank you!|||A good beginner bike for someone your size would be a 500cc. They are small enough for a beginner yet have enough power to run highway speeds. I wouldn't recommend anything smaller as you will probably outgrow it very fast. I also would suggest getting something from the early 90's or newer. Older bikes can be nice but are getting harder to find parts for and most dealerships won't work on anything older than ten years. There are several bikes suited for beginners like: the Buell Blast, Kawasaki Vulcan 500 LTD, Suzuki GS500E, Yamaha's Virago 535 and the Honda CB 500. They made the Honda CB 500 from 93-03. you should be able to find a nice used one. One more thing I would suggest for you is to take an approved motorcycle safety foundation beginner riders course. Most are offered at little or no charge. This will help you get used to using a clutch and shifting gears if your not already accustomed to this. Hope this helps.|||To be honest there is no reason you can't have any bike you want, obviously within reason as your a beginner.

As there are companies out there who will carve the seat out to a lower height, and if that isn't enough there are other companies who will lower the suspension for you.

Also don't suffocate yourself by choosing a brand and sticking with it (This coming from a guy who's 3 bikes are all honda...but that's by chance). It is true they are generally the most reliable, But other manufacturers do bikes that are just as good.|||Honda is coming out with a 250 sportbike this year, you may want to look at that, the seat height is 30in so may be a little tall but worth a look.

My first was a Suzuki Savage 650...I know you said Honda but this lil Suzi was an excellent starter bike and one you will not outgrow as quickly as something like the Rebel 250|||depends how youre going to ride it... the rebel is a good bike if you dont plan to ever ride on freeways or interstates... my wife rode one when she took a motorcycle class at the junior college... i would recommend a honda shadow 750 or 1100 even... there are lots of women riding bikes even bigger than that... have fun|||Honda Rebel, 250cc. Very good for male, female, or youth. And you can pick up used ones cheap and easily resell as well, when ready to move up.|||honda shadow 600 vlx
